RESTON, Va., Feb 28 - More than half of graduate business school alumni are currently employed in an industry or job function they did not have experience in prior to entering business school, according to a report released today by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), a nonprofit organisation of leading graduate business schools.
Findings from the Council’s 2017 Alumni Perspectives Survey show that 2 in 5 (39 percent) alumni currently work in an industry they hadn’t considered prior to starting business school; they learned of the opportunity while enrolled in a graduate business program, with 88 percent sharing that they are satisfied with their job and employer.
Kuala Lumpur, Feb 28 - Eversendai Corporation Bhd recorded a revenue of RM1.57 billion and a pre-tax loss of RM248.0 million for the yr ended December 2016.
The losses incurred during the 2016 financial year were mainly due to impairment on fair value of financial assets, provision of doubtful debts, higher costs resulting from delay in project funding as well as low utilisation of the fabrication facility due to exceptionally slow recovery of the oil and gas industry.

Kuala Lumpur, Feb 28– The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) and Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) today signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA), allowing Saudi Aramco’s equity participation in PETRONAS’ Refinery & Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project in the southern Malaysian state of Johor.
Witnessed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, the agreement was signed by Amin H. Petaling Jaya, Feb 27 - Scomi Group Bhd posted a revenue of RM224.6 million for the quarter ended 31 December 2016 (Q3 FY2017), up from RM176 million in the previous quarter ended 30 September 2016 (Q2 FY2017).
Its Oilfield Services (“OFS”) unit contributed 56% of the total revenue, while Transport Solutions and Marine Services accounted for 25% and 19% respectively.
Kuching (Sarawak), Feb 27 - Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd (CMSB), the State’s leading infrastructure facilitator, reported a total revenue of RM1.55 billion and pre-tax profit (PBT) of RM302.14 million for FY2016. Revenue and PBT decreased by 13% and 22% in comparison to the preceding year’s (FY2015) record result of RM1.79 billion and RM388.60 million.
The Group, however, recorded a strong recovery in profits during the second half of 2016 (2H2016) with PBT of RM236.47 million in comparison to the first half of 2016’s (1H2016) PBT of RM65.67 million.
