Kuala Lumpur, March 31 - Malaysian Business magazine, which is making a comeback at the newsstands beginning April after a hiatus of close to two years, was officially revealed by the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Ahmad Maslan in Pullman Bangsar Hotel last Wednesday.
The magazine is being revived in print format, with an online edition, this time with a new team at its new home Amanie Media Sdn Bhd, a company under the Amanie Group of Companies.
Spearheading Malaysian Business into the future is the magazine’s new Editor-in-Chief Datuk Dr Mohd Daud Bakar, one of the leading global Shariah entrepreneurs and Amanie Group’s founder.
Kuala Lumpur, March 31 - SME Bank has disbursed up to RM70 million, to-date, in financial assistance under the bank's Online Business Financing programme.
Speaking to reporters after launching the SME Bank Xcess 2017 here on Wednesday, group managing director Datuk Mohd Radzif Mohd Yunus said the bank had allocated RM200 million for online business financing since 2016.

Kuala Lumpur,March 31 - More foreign players will be invited to join the country’s Internet exchange.
The decision was unanimously agreed at the recently held 9th Annual General Meeting of Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX) operated by the ‘Persatuan Pengendali Internet Malaysia’ – an initiative under the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
The move is in direct effort to tap more International Content Brands and regional internet service providers to peer directly with MyIX. This will bring about significant benefits for local members as well as ordinary Malaysians. At present, several foreign companies have already peered with MyIX. They are S.I. Group Ltd (Cambodia), TATA Communications (Hong Kong) and ViewQuest Pte Ltd (Singapore).
Kuala Lumpur, March 31 - A Malaysian healthcare consulting services provider, Mediconsult Sdn Bhd has recently been awarded two contracts; a EUR 600,000 contract by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Uzbekistan for the Electronic Heath Care Development Project and a US$420,000 by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Bangladesh for the Preparation of an Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project.
The Electronic Health Care Development Project is an initiative by the Government of Uzbekistan to develop an electronic framework to support the healthcare sector. It is a highly concentrated assignment with an expected input of 60 man-months over eight months.

Kuala Lumpur, March 31 - Yinson Holdings Bhd, Malaysia’s premier integrated offshore production and offshore support services provider, yesterday announced its fourth quarter results for its financial year ended 31 January 2017 with a revenue of RM185.5 million, translating to a 59.6% increase as compared to its corresponding quarter last financial year.
For the quarter under review, the Group posted a reported profit after tax (“PAT”) of RM51.2 million, as compared to RM47.2 million in Q4FYE2016. The higher results is mainly due to strong growth in revenue but set-off by impairment in receivables, impairment to our OSV assets and lower share in profit from joint ventures.
Kuala Lumpur, March 31 – Daya Materials Berhad has announced the proposed disposal of the offshore subsea construction vessel, Siem Daya 1 via the disposal of the Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary, known as Daya Global 1 Ptd Ltd to Siem OCV Ptd Ltd, which is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Siem Industries Inc for a total consideration of US$$100 million (equivalent to RM442.6 million).
The disposal consideration comprises of US$$82.7 million (equivalent to RM366.2 million) in cash and US$$17.3 million (equivalent to RM76.6 million) to be settled via a debt forgiveness, cancellation and settlement arrangement between Siem Offshore Rederi AS (SORA) and Canyon Offshore, Daya Vessel Limited and DMB.
