Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the appointment of Bennett Peter as the general manager of Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara, in line with plans to accelerate its growth in Malaysia.
In a statement, Hyatt house revealed tha Peter’s new role will be to oversee the overall management of the 298 residentially inspired extended stay hotel and further promoting the Hyatt Brand among guests as well as the local business community of Mont’Kiara, Malaysia.
“The Hyatt House brand is a result of extensive research and consumer insights.
“Our studies show that frequent travellers prefer to remain connected to their usual routines without interruptions, appreciate comforts that are closer to how they live and value neighbourhoods that make them feel welcome to the community.
“We believe that Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’ Kiara is in the right position to cater to this typical need of modern day travellers and will be well-positioned in the growing extended stay market in the Kuala Lumpur area,” said Peter.
His hospitality expertise spans across multiple fields within the industry with over two decades of experience in hotels and resorts across Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
“Having worked with some of the leading names in the hospitality industry and managing different responsibilities, I am excited to take up my new role as general manager of Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’ Kiara.
“I am looking forward to the launch of this brand in Malaysia and introducing Hyatt House to the South East Asia region.
“Together with my management team, we are thrilled to continue Hyatt’s journey of excellence and are gearing up to welcome our guests to Hyatt House,” he added.
In addition, Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara also announced the appointment of Daniel Mahathir as the director of Sales.
Currently in its pre-opening stage, Malaysia’s first Hyatt House under Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s “modern essentials” brand in Kuala Lumpur is set to open its doors in the third quarter of the year.
The four-star upscale residentially-inspired extended-stay hotel is part of Arcoris Mont’Kiara, a development by UEM Sunrise Bhd that will feature 298 guestrooms, restaurants, 3,100 sq. ft. of meeting space, a fitness centre and a sky pool.
