Sepang, March 31 - The largest airport travel retail and duty free operator, Malaysia Airports (Niaga) Sdn Bhd also known as Eraman Malaysia announces the opening of a newly renovated and re-branded store in KLIA: EXpress located at Level 3, Domestic Arrival, KLIA.
The event was graced by Zulhikam Ahmad, General Manager of Malaysia Airports (Niaga) Sdn Bhd, Management of Malaysia Airports Niaga and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, business partners and invited guests.
The opening of this newly renovated store or formerly known as Airport Shoppe is now renamed as EXpress. The store has a modern concept of a convenience store designed to meet the varied tastes of diverse customers from the airport community, airlines passengers right to meeters and greeters that are always on the lookout for ample choices in products and shopping conveniences.
“Changes in modern lifestyle and shopping patterns has influenced customer’s purchases and shopping preferences. In our business environment and with the current economic situation, it is increasingly difficult to ensure business viability. One has to be very innovative to survive and stay ahead of competition. So for us at Eraman, the direction is to capitalize on our own strengths and core capabilities in order to succeed and remain relevant” said Zulhikam.
“We took a step to develop a new and modern convenience store with an inviting and friendly atmosphere that welcomes the customers to explore and enjoy a broad range of products. The store provides airport users with excellent options and convenience. Since there is demand at the airport for daily essentials, we ensure that the store is stocked with the daily necessities from beverages, confectioneries, toiletries, frozen items, travelling kits, as well as travel essentials,” he added.
Not wanting to stop there, Eraman went a step further to introduce a new section, the food and beverage or deli section; to further to further enhance the total airport shopping experience.
“Our mantra is to be mindful to ensure that our product offerings meet our customer’s preferences and comprises of value packs and special convenience retail exclusives which are useful and competitively priced in a completely refurbished store. With this newly renovated store and enhanced services, we expect to improve the sales performance for the outlet,” said Zulhikam.
