Kuala Lumpur, April 18 - AmBank Islamic Berhad (AmBank Islamic) and Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) yesterday signed an agreement with JomPAY to provide added convenience, accessibility and flexibility to IWK customers nationwide.
This partnership is part of AmBank Islamic’s and IWK’s efforts to make it easier for consumers to pay their IWK sewerage bills. With this partnership, IWK customers are now able to make payments via JomPAY through the e-channels of banks in Malaysia without any transaction fees. JomPAY is free for bank customers who make bill payments.
JomPAY is Malaysia’s national bill payment scheme established and operated by Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation Sdn Bhd (MyClear), with the participation of banks and a growing number of over 1,300 billers.
“AmBank is pleased to partner IWK and make it even easier for consumers to make payments for their sewerage bills. Now, consumers can use JomPAY to make payments to IWK without any service charge.,” said Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, Group Chief Executive Officer, AmBank Group.
Today, JomPAY has also launched a nationwide campaign where two Mercedes-Benz A-200 AMG Lines will be awarded to two winners. There are more than RM1 million worth of prizes to be won including the weekly and monthly prizes rewarded by participating banks.
All customers inclusive of IWK customers have to do is to save a JomPAY Biller Code as a ‘favourite’ Biller in their Internet or Mobile Banking and make payments to win.”
The agreement between AmBank Islamic and IWK was signed by Eqhwan Mokhzanee, Chief Executive Officer, AmBank Islamic and Ir. Mohamed Haniffa Abdul Hamid, Acting Chief Executive Officer, IWK and witnessed by Dato’ Sulaiman, Mr Chua Tiong Leong, Head of Finance Department, IWK and Mr Peter Schiesser, Managing Director, MyClear.
